Pixels & Print Design Workshop For Social Impact
Pixels & Print is a 48-hour design sprint hosted by the Visual Communications department at S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications to design for a deserving organization. The workshop splits students into different groups to create various deliverables for the client while meeting period with them to make sure students are on the right track.
2022 - Salt City Harvest Farm
This was my first year participating in the workshop and I was a member of the print team. Our main job was to redesign a logo and create a new brand look. As part of this we created all new social templates, merchandise, billboard signs, posters, farmer cards, and brand guidelines, etc. all implementing the new logo, brand colors, and patterns. I particpated in conversations around the new logo, brand colors, and the texture/pattern used as well as fully creating the farmer card template. This template was designed to function similarly to a business card for farmers to share their story in a small paper to pass out at farmers markets.

2023 - CNY Adaptive Sports
This was my second year participating in the workshop and I was on the print team again. For this client we were also tasked with renaming the organization from Move Along Inc. to CNY Adaptive Sports. I was significantly more involved this year with the rebranding, such as, creating the new logo and deciding brand colors. After helping with the logo creation, I was tasked with creating merchandise the client had asked for. This included rubber bracelets, bumper stickers, and a wrap for a box truck.

2024 - The Baldwin Fund
For my third year participating in the workshop, I decided to join the motion team which is in charge of writing a script, creating a short explainer video and animating the new logo. I was fully involved throughout the whole process of determining the script, storyboarding, and animating scenes. I primarily worked on the scene with Carol Baldwin’s picture and flowers as well as the scene with the large microscope. Alec Baldwin gratuitously read the script to be the voiceover for the video.
